Sony been selling PS4s the same way they sold consoles from day one, and especially the way they sold 160m PS2s.  By posative for both sides relationships with 3rd parties.  You know the majority of the industry.   Also you all forget 360 biggest success came from third party games, Madden COD Mass efffect Gears. 

I been gaming since 1990 kid, and, in my experience, I would say that hype culture has definitely gone overboard this past few years. About the PlayStation 2? That one was sold by Grand Theft Auto, not hype in itself.

PS4 sold more Software than X1+WiiU combined
It makes sense for them to go strong with 3rd Party too - They cover everything to let their competition grasp for straws
You win when you do everything right and Sony is pretty much the prime example currently
They pretty much play the perfect game currently - Everyone at Playstation is currently doing their job excellent
MS prepared a strong E3 and everyone thought Sony can't top that...Well it took 5 minutes and MS got destroyed.This isn't just happening by chance...Sony is preparing stuff like that perfectly for the right times.
Im pretty sure they will have something too to take the wind out of the sails of Quantum Break and Scalebound at gamescom
