hey there fellow VGC brethren

i was bored so i figured i would make a thread of what i am pretty much expecting to see at this year's e3. im only going to do it for the companies that matter because i dont want this thread to be completely drawn out and long. im going to try to make this as brief as possible.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~MICROSOFT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think at this point, most Microsoft fans can look back and be very thankful that Don Mattrick has left the company and Phil Spencer is in. Phil Spencer is doing an amazing job turning the vision of the Xbox One into something that gamers can get on board with, so I do think that this E3 is not going to be too much different from last year's E3, and we are going to see a bunch of games. There were a lot of people who did give MS the win last year because of this, and I think that it would be best for them to have a similar showing. I expect Microsoft to give a good amount of time to Halo 5 and Gears of War 4. I also think that there will be a new IP announced, published/funded by Microsoft that is going to be a little more adventurous and out of the box.
I think Phil Spencer sees the value in differentiating themselves from Sony, and I think that might be the goal of this year's conference. If they fight Sony on the same playing field, it is going to be a losing battle. They have more to gain by showing us how the Xbox One is unique.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SONY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It is kind of hard to predict what kind of stuff Sony has up their sleeve, but I will give it my best shot. First of all, I think there will be an announcement for some kind of DLC for Bloodborne. I also think that it is reasonable to expect a solid showing of Uncharted 4 gameplay. I hope to see some details about Street Fighter V, because that is a really good franchise and a very important one. I hope to see some gameplay of it, and I hope we can see a true evolution in the franchise from SF IV to SF V. I expect to see a bunch of multiplats shown, and with at least one of them, there will be some kind of time exclusivity associated with it. I also expect to see a segment of how Sony has all these beloved franchises, and so they are going to offer remasters of some of the best titles to PS4 users who haven't had a chance to play them. These would include Ratchet and Clank, God of War 3, and the Uncharted Collection. I also think that at some point, there is going to be a 30 to 45 minute segment dedicated to TV, sports, and how good the PS4 is at connecting people with eachother and how great the community and the fans are.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NINTENDO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From what I have seen so far, it seems like people here on VGC are most excited for Nintendo's conference, and I am right there with you. We did get a leak about Ryu in Smash, and that is exciting because we don't know what this means beyond Ryu being in Smash. This could mean that Nintendo could fund a project for Capcom kind of like how Sony is supporting SF V. I really do think that there is something more to all of this, and it really excites me to think of all the different possibilities of what a partnership between Capcom and Nintendo could produce. I mean, think about the possibility of a Nintendo vs. Capcom game (come on guys, that would mean Nintendo automatically won e3, right?). Anyways, moving on..
Zelda was shown at last year's e3 and I think it took people by big surprise. The game looks incredible so far and it seems like they are interested in taking it in a new direction. That in itself is exciting and it makes the game a lot more mysterious. I think we can get a lot more of these questions about what this game is going to be like at this e3. There is no reason that they shouldn't be dedicating 15 to 20 minutes talking about all kinds of details regarding this game. (I stand corrected on Zelda making an appearance at this year's e3) Another game that we haven't seen shit about is Star Fox, so I do expect to see some gameplay on that game and some details on how the game is going to work. These are two huge games that we don't know a whole lot about and getting details on them is going to be important for Nintendo to give to us. I expect to see some SM X FE stuff and a Xenoblade release date. Obviously, we will see some stuff on Mario Maker and Yoshi as they are both the next titles to be released.
As for new stuff, I think Nintendo could reveal at least one of the following: Paper Mario, Punch Out, a new mainline 3D Mario platformer, or Animal Crossing. I would place bets on both Paper Mario and Animal Crossing making an appearance. I think a new Mario game will come out for Wii U, but we will have to wait and see on that one. Maybe now is not the time.
Lastly, Nintendo rarely goes an E3 without giving us fans something to lose our shit over.. This time, I think it is going to be F-Zero. I am fully expecting an F-Zero reveal, and I think it's going to kick fucking ass. Not only that, but I think that there may be a Metroid reveal as well. I am hoping for that one, at least. As far as 3DS goes, anything could happen, guys. It is pretty much impossible to predict what could come out for this system. I welcome any ideas or thought about 3DS because I just feel like it is so up in the air. I do believe that this digital event will be much more Wii U focused anyway.
Well, those are my thoughts. What do you guys think?
