You're having a laugh, right? The concept is the same but the whole implementation is completely different. In one you're completely immersed in the actual game scenario. Racing a ferrari? you're inside the cockpit. Wandering Skyrim? you're directly inside the world. Flying a plane? You're inside the cockpit. In the other, you're inside a fake living room playing a game on a fake TV. The game image still appears 2D and is separated from the player. You're immersed in a fake living room, not the actual game world. OT: Clickbait title is clickbait. Article says nothing to suggest Xbox could benefit from this. |
I made it clear that VR is different. Not sure your point, other than to state the obvious.
The article doesn't say much directly, but obviously a direct statement is the only thing that you seem to grasp.
Of course, if the OR actually is successful in any meaningful way(which is likely with the dollars behind it), it will create all sorts of things for MS. The more successful Win10 is, it will have advantages for the XB1. MS will continually market the advantages of the XB1/Win10 coneection and the masses of ignorant average gaming consumers. A number of them will buy the XB1 for those reasons without knowing why or the difference between XB1 and PS4. just think sheep. WHy has the PS4 outsold the XB1 2 to 1 so far? Not because of the games or the power difference... Sheep. Is the PS4 a better gaming system? Sure, the games can be graphically better, but that doesn't really change the gameplay. The differences can only be found when doing direct screen comparisons. So, the public goes with the rest of the sheep. Right now, the public perception is with the PS4. If, MS can find a way tochange that, they can have the sheep shoot in another direction. That is the thing for Western Europe and the US. The rest of the world will stick with the PS4 regardless.
It is near the end of the end....
