Perhaps they just need to clip a cutscene, or put proper clothes on a model. Often its a fairly minor issue that pushes ratings groups to make a title 'AO' or 'X' (if its a movie).

Its not like the game is a porno. It may well be, hell its even likely, that it would take a fairly small issue to get it back down to M.

Look at the GTA 'hot coffee' incident. Its not like the whole game was a problem, just one scene/mini-game.

There's no question the whole game deserves an M, but the AO content is probably pretty minor.

I don't think it's very minor. I don't think ripping someones balls off, jabbing a pen through someones eye, slitting a stomach open and watching organs pile out is very minor. I think they are going to have to do some major censoring to get this down to M.

Then again, it can be something relatively minor that gets the rating. Say, for instance, you are developing a game set in medieval times and one of your cut-scenes revolve around a troop of soldiers gathered by a campfire, sitting down and enjoying some grog while talking about battle plans. The grog-drinking alone is enough to get you a Teen rating - "use of alcohol".
