I should of known it would take you to come in here and try blame this on PC gamers instead of finding fault with the Dev.
If what you say is true how come that in the same time frame GTA5 on PC outsold the PS4 version and the X1 version even being at full price and released much later. If PC gamers dont buy games at full price why is that the case then??.
It would of been better for R* to offer no discount at all and just keep the game at full price instead of pulling such a shotty move and getting backlash for it..

it didnt, physical PS4 releases were more sold than digital and physical on PC

Except it did. We went over this in another thread and im pretty sure you remember it well.. where the PC version sold over 2 million in just 2 weeks at full price on Steam alone without including versions sold on other online stores and in retail stores bringing that number up much higher...
|
Since when is 2 million > 7 million? Steam normally accounts for the majority of a game's sales (with Witcher 3 being an exception), and the 7 disc physical version surely didn't sell as highly as you seem to think. The PC version sold very well but to say it's at 7 million or more is ridiculous.
|
So are you trying to say that the PS4 version sold 7 million in 2 weeks?? you do know that the combined sales for both the PS4 and X1 version within a month was at like 4 million and thats in a month. So as you see in the same time frame GTA5 on PC outsold the PS4 and the X1 version. Now clearly if your going to include total sales of the PS4 version from its release till now its going to be higher since the game has been on sale for almost a year longer...
And i know many of people that got the R* version..

Scratch, didn't catch the "in the same time frame." You're correct there. Whether that's a valid argument considering the next gen versions had mostly double dippers and the PC version launched near nothing else is another topic, one I don't even care about frankly.
Keep in mind that you knowing people that bought the game physically does not mean it sold well. Most of my friends have a Wii U but that doesn't mean it's doing well.
You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt! I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading. After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
