The brainpower is the only good thing they get from this... .maybe the name, if they decide on OUYA 2.
They could keep the controller, and work on the next of its kinde, by using whatever ways the ouya went around patents on design ect.

I think the main problem is they went with a full on mobile chip.

Today that wouldnt be a issue.
AMD can make semi custom ARM accellerated processing units (apus).

A ouya with custom designed APU chip running at 50watts or so, could be a pretty big step up from that old Tegra 3 @5watts or so.
