How Good was the Sega Dreamcast?

In a very short lifespan the Dreamcast saw more new and diverse franchises (and many exclusive 1st party ones for as long as the system lived) than Nintendo created during the whole N64-Gamecube era. I miss the old Sega.

To add to the OP list :

NBA 2K, NFL 2K, Virtua Tennis <-- Sega revolutionized Sport games, again.


They created RPGs:

Skies of Arcadia <---Incredible game, I wish a sequel could be possible :'(
Phantasy Star Online<---that's the first console MMORPG.

New innovative games:

Jet Grind Radio
Space Channel 5
Shenmue 1 & 2
They made platformers cool again:

Sonic Adventure 1, 2 < two games in such a short while.

Crazy Taxi 1 & 2
Cool exclusive racing games:

Metropolis Street Racer (from Bizarre Creations, creators of PGR)

Test Drive Le Mans

Sega GT

The Dreamcast had TONS of FIGHTERS

And to this day most of them remain exclusive.


Action / Adventure games:

Headhunter

Resident Evil : CV <--Best Resident Evil until RE4 came out.

Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future


Weird Shit : Seaman


The Dreamcast was so good and all that in less than 3 years (and of course, there's more good stuff than what's listed on this thread) Wow. I might even hook it up just to play a little BERSERK once again!
