Heck you get a system slightly more powerful then the ps2 for that price with alot of quality games that you won't see much of anymore. I think the DC continued to cater to the old school Japanese gaming fan (look at all the great arcade games on that system) while the ps2, xbox and gamecube went a different direction, kind of evolved with the direction gaming was going. And by saying that I'm also completely wrong, as Kasz216 said, it truly was ahead of it's time with online gaming (PSO first MMO on a console) among other things (great controller as well). Basically I feel the DC was a revolutionary system that still had a bit of it's heart in the days of 16bit(not a bad thing). The Dreamcast is the last of it's breed, would be a shame to have missed out on an important part of gaming's timeline. It still makes me sad thinking of this, boy what I wouldn't give to see Sega return to dominance. Hope that made sense to someone, cause I went all over the place there, sorry got a bit of a head cold. |
Wait, the DC was more powerful than the PS2? Seriously? That doesn't seem possible. Also, I would love to see a Sega resurgence as well, they were so good at what they did, it's a shame.
