It's not money-hatting, Nintendo is paying for the development of these games. The same way they pay Next Level Games for development of Luigi's Mansion 2.

It's contract work. 

If I pay you to come to my house and fix my deck, I'm not "money hatting" you, I'm paying you to do a job. 

Also Bayonetta 2 does not exist without Nintendo's funding it. Platinum Games doesn't have the money to finance these games, they are not a publisher, they are a contract studio. Try to understand the difference. 

Could have gone to Kickstarter to ask for the funds and cover the existing needs with a third party financer like Bloodstained is doing. The exclusivity deal was a kick in the nuts for fans who don't want or care for the Wii U.
