I admit that with MS DRM fiasco and Nintendo mistake of adding a tablet controller using the Wii brand made it easy for ps4 to win this gen but even at that, I believe ps4 would have had a higher chance of winning this gen anyway, maybe not by the same gap. why do I believe this? even though, ps3 didn't win last gen, ps3 finished stronger than the other two. It was outselling them in the last few years before the gen was over. It's also obvious Nintendo needed a miracle to pull off another wii mote type of controller to attract the masses, otherwise would haven been the gamecube all over again and that's what really happen. In other words, unless Nintendo brings something different enough to the table to attract the masses, they don't have a chance at winning another gen from now on. I also believe xbox one wouldn't have won this gen anyway, why? simple, ps4 brand is too strong in Europe. If ps3 managed to outsell xbox 360 in Europe even when it launched 200 euros more expensive one year and half later (the reason they lost market share), you know that launching at the same time with comparable price point would have enabled ps4 to recoup most of the marketshare lost last gen. All ps4 needed to do is to compete with xbox one in the USA to assure victory which wouldn't have been as difficult as last gen because xbox one wouldn't have the price and launch date advantage xbox 360 had. There is also no Kinect this time around.
