Marketing.

When you think about it, it is pretty clear. Marketing is by far the biggest diference between the 3 this gen so far. Nintendo don't really do it, Microsoft did everything wrong, while Sony not only did everything right but used MS mistakes against them.

Don't take me wrong, marketing won't define a gen by itself, but it has a lot of weight in the beginning, before any of them can build a true library of exclusives or find another big hit to drive sales.
