Because PlayStation is simply the strongest home console brand of the three, while others would disagree, look at the evidence, the only time their home console didnt clean up the charts was when they launched 1-1.5 years after the competition at an eye wateringly high priceand pr blunder after pr blunder.
But even then they still managed to scrape second, and it's still selling respectable numbers even now, long after the ps4 released, and only 14m behind the Wii which, by all accounts was the golden child of news reports with its high sales.
