The only game I'm considering pre-ordering is Fallout 4 and that's only if there is a good deal before launch otherwise I will probably buy it shortly after release when the first reasonable offer becomes available. Generally I've learned to play the waiting game as so many games drop in price quickly after release.
My biggest pre-order mistake was Turok Evolution. It was a huge flop and was available shortly after release for a third of its price. Still loved the game though and got my monies worth from it though despite the poor reviews.
