It was only used by the 3DO. It didn't worked because the higher margin made it a 700 bucks console while SNES and Genesis were close to 99 bucks. Of course, they were less powerful, but had way more games. PS1 and Saturn put the last nail in 3DO coffin because they were cheaper (299 and 399, respectively), more powerful and had more games.
