Why would it be financially sensible for Sony to create 5 jrpg's when they will have zero mass market appeal in Japan or the rest of the world and will likely never make their money back?

How can you know how much appeal those games will have and how much they are investing in this? One of those is probably a Bloodborne sequel for instance, are you saying that that won't have appeal or won't make its money back?

Bloodborne isnt a JRPG, nothing like it. It has western design elements and gameplay.
