It's more about personality and abilties than appearance, they're almost identical in appearance. The difference is that Stella looked like she'd be a strong character, she shared Noctis' crystal powers and the ability to see Etro's light, she had her own goals and ambitions that would at times make her both an ally and an enemy of Noctis. She seemed like she was going to be a really complex, well-written character, and a good potential romance interest for Noctis.
By comparison all we've seen Luna do so far is sit there looking pretty waiting for Noctis to show up for a dinner. I got this strong damsel in distress vibe from her, that's a feeling I just can't shake. Maybe I'm wrong and she'll be just as strong of a character as Stella, but first impressions are important, and Tabata picked a really bad way to introduce Luna for the first time.

btw : Why is no one talking about them wanting to split the games in 3 and Tabata scrap that and pushed one game only? Its not only bad shit that hapened.
One thing i agree, square fucked Nomura, holy cow they have no respect for the dude , it was not his fault it was square ruled by idiots. This game could have been released 4 or 5 years ago if not for all the fuck ups square did.

exactly who messed up inside of Square-Enix is anyone's guess. Could be the higher ups, could be Nomura, could be a mix of both.
