Losing so much hype for this game...

I'm with you Slade. Versus VIII/FFXV has been near the top of my most anticipated game list ever since it was first announced in 2006. But ever since Nomura was removed as director against his own will, Tabata has systematically destroyed most of what originally made me excited for it.

-A realistic derivation of Kingdom Hearts combat....gone, replaced by a simplistic combat system that had some pretty serious issues in the demo.

-Multiple playable characters....gone, now only Noctis is playable.

-Stella, a strong female character who shared Noctis' powers and at times would be both a protagonist and antagonist...gone, replaced by Luna, who so far we've only seen sit their looking pretty waiting for Noctis to show up for a dinner.

-Ignis, my favorite member of Noctis' party, given an English voice that I can't stand.

-Multiple story segments from Versus XIII trailers....gone.

 

FFXV is starting to look like a rental for me at best. Screw you Tabata!

Yeah combat to me seemed very simplistic to be hoenst. Only main character I liked was Ignis, don't really mind the voice actor for him, although I hated Noctis'. 

Seems like a rental for me as well. :/
