Consider this.
No matter what you buy, it will be ousted by a better card by AMD or Nvidia within 6 months anyway.
If youre planning on using a 1080p monitor, just get the 980 and enjoy yourself, my old rig has two 780ti in sli and even at 1440p has no problems with any games, if however youre buying a 4k display, then you should be looking at sli not single card.
