| Azzanation said: PS4 defiantly has the quantity but in 2015 Xbox has the quality. Your talking about the biggest gaming franchises being released in 2015 alone while PS4 has a lot of Unknown games and there's a good possibly those games can be bad. Easy and safest answer is Xbox One. I game primary on Steam/PC and even though PC has the most exclusives in the gaming market, a lot of them are mediocre or just not worth playing. |
Bolded: You're right about that. Though I think where a lot of people (especially on a dedicated site like this where casual and mainstream gamers are the minority) don't agree with you is regarding your "biggest blockbusters = highest quality".
Of course the broad mainstream market will buy Halo, Call of Duty and SW Battlefront in droves due to these games' unrivaled advertising budgets that put them on everybody's lips this holiday. So regarding biggest exclusive blockbusters, you're completely right that Microsoft has the upper hand this holiday with Halo, Forza and Tomb Raider.
But what about next year? Will you come out and shout blockbuster = quality again when Sony have what looks to be their greatest year in history regarding sales of PS exclusives?
Of Sony's 5 biggest IPs, 3 have a 2016 installment. Additionally we have Street Fighter V, the new IPs from Guerrilla Games, Bend, Media Molecule, etc. and the prominent exclusive JRPGs from Level-5, Atlus, Square Enix, etc.
1 Gran Turismo (installment in 2016)
2 Uncharted (installment in 2016)
3 The Last of Us
4 God of War
5 Ratchet & Clank (installment in 2016)
