The real problem is that gamers are too entitled to let the price of games scale up like they should've. Games cost upwards of $80 in the cartridge era; the only reason they ever dropped to $60 was because discs were cheaper to make and it became a selling point. Games should've risen to $70 last gen and should be $80 now. If they were we'd be much more likely to get finished games at launch this gen.

And yes, I know Australians complain about paying $100+ for games, but their minimum wage is somewhere near $11 if I'm not mistaken, so everything is scaled up like 50% anyway. America is most of where this entitlement is (coming from an American).

OT: Since gamers can't accept that the prices should be higher, yes, DLC makes up for it in my eyes. If we can't accept to pay full price up front we deserved to be scammed out of the rest later.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
