DLC as an offset to higher gaming development costs?

So... day 1, on disc DLC, is to get money from people buying it used? Despite it not even being possible to buy the game used at that time?

If it was actually included for people that bought the game new and only cost extra for those buying used I wouldn't have such a problem with it. But why punish people that buy new because of those that don't?

 

I got Goro free. Not really punishment.

 

Look at it this way. Pre-order usually means full price. people who pay more (instead of waiting for a sale or price drop) are rewarded.

 

Alternatively, as long as the base content is strong, is just purchasing a higher tier product.
