Something, even gimped, is better than nothing. So that's one.  Two, consistant support.  Again, a game here or there results in a sale here or there. 

You can't toss out one game expect the same sales as the PS/XB version.  You have to establish a consistant level of support AND TRUST.   If you do not establish this support, they will not support you.

And 1 or 2 third parties cannot do it alone.  It must consistant across the 3rd party spectrum.  Else you get fans that know of only 1 company they can trust and will support them....Nintendo.

The Wii U was getting games and they were flopping. They got two CODs two Batmans two ACs all flopped so what were 3rd parties supposed to do? try again? In contrast to PS3 ME2 sold 1.12 mil and that was long before the original was finally on the console. I wouldnt give a system consistent support when its clear my games are flopping.

To be fair it was actually more than one, but you are right, thats what happens when the support has been all over the place for several generations. But the onus just cant be on 3rd parties Ninty has to budge a little too and they never do. So are 3rds supposed to bend over when Ninty is barely trying? Not there fault that no one is buying the system and not ther fault Ninty made another system no up to standards.

Basically Ninty has to make console that sells decent and is on par with the others.
