Because Wii U is getting much more software in Europe and has very good marketing here!

What marketing? Seriously, Wii U has no marketing at all. At least not until Splatoon, but of course that has had no influence of sales yet. I've seen like 3 Wii U comercials in total. 2 when it launched and one when Pikmin released. They didn't even really market Mario Kart 8 or Smash Bros here, apart from Nintendo Direct and such.
