Normally from-the-top 2D and isometric 3D are the kind of games where parties and teams can be managed best and so sidekicks too can have greater depth, but this thread suddenly reminded me of how good team management was, for its times, in a very old 3D game, Terra Nova. After all it was made by Looking Glass, that studio would have deserved far more commercial successes, Terra Nova itself would have deserved to succeed commercially too, and to survive until now.
