When World of Tanks first came to the Xbox 360, the concept of free-to-play gaming on a console was nearly unheard of. But after a year of milestones, updates, community growth, and relentless armored combat, World of Tanks has blasted its way into the spotlight and the living rooms of aspiring Xbox tank commanders worldwide.

With over 5 million downloads across nearly 150 countries, World of Tanks on Xbox 360 is a global success. Such an accomplishment would not be possible without our fantastic community of enthusiastic tankers, which is why we could not be more excited to share an awesome announcement with you today!

So with Xbox One also releasing World of Tanks sometime around the Holidays and supposed first cross playform game, will this only add to the Hype train already in motion?

"FULL SPEED AHEAD!"

With a game that has over 100,000,000 million registered players cataloged across phone, pc and xbox 360, this is just another reason for people to pick up a Xbox One. You can move your acount to phone, xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Meaning you can literally game on the go and keep all your stats with you for a piece of mind, Kind of like how this site used to be.

With World of tanks message boards floating new ideas, Xbox One I think has a ACE up their sleeve.

"I don't know if WG have any control over this, but if they do please make it so we can launch the game by simply saying 'Xbox launch World of Tanks', otherwise it'l be like Minecraft where you have to say the whole thing ('Xbox launch World of Tanks Xbox One Edition' is a bit of a mouthful)"  -  WG Message boards

Seems Kinect has added enjoyment to some Xbox One owners, However not all, that's for sure.

With Halo 5, Forza, Tomb Raider, Gears (expected reveal), Fable Legends (expected Holiday 2015) and World of tanks.  I suspect Xbox will hit it's stride,  now if they where smart enough to release a slim with a price break, Rebrand as the new and improved sleek XBox One... DRM FREE, however they won't bring that into the conversation but you know that will be why and for good reason. LOL

I think WOT has slipt under the radar and will add to the Xbox One's already stunning holiday Games library.
