Why do people on this site think Splatoon is going to do so well?

Here in Norway the game is at $37 if you buy it digitally and had downloaded the testfire (which gives you a discount).

The hype has gotten to me even though I haven't tried the game and I will buy it at launch. I'm itching to paint those walls.. :-O
