I agree with those two franchises, they are some of my favourites, and big reasons why I always have a PS console along with my PC for gaming.

Not really. The digital content they sell has high value in comparison to the competition and the amiibo's are actual physical collector figurines. They arent just a digital good. Again, more value there.

How does it have a high value?

As for collector's items, I'd rather have DLC's as downloadable content than toys. Amiibos being toys makes them even worse in my eyes. I don't want other publishers to follow them either, its a pathetic practice.
