Publishers and developers should be smart and show an hybrid of both cinematic and gameplay trailers. Or maybe their games are too shitty and they should be smart enough not to show them. Either way, some of e3's announcements are teasers so they may not be ready to show any gameplay and there they go with the cinematic trailer.
What I really would like is a disclaimer at the start of in-game footage saying: "Pre-downgrade footage"
