If you could kill a protagonist from a video game, who would it be?

I got to agree with danasider, Zidane was an awesome protagonist and more likeable than Cloud and Squall. Cloud isn't a bad protagonist (He's actually rather good) but I just found FFVII to be bland and Squall was just an angsty teen.

EDIT: I'd also say Vaan from Final Fantasy XII. Mostly, because the game's story wouldn't really change all that much without him anyway.

Maybe my mood when I played IX was not good and therefore my idea of Zidane is not correct. I will replay the game soon! (will come back on this one)
Vaan, yes I totally forgot him. XII was a game I never Finished eventhough I liked the setting etc I didn't liked the new fight system and couldn't really get used to it!
