Like a lot of us here, not many know what makes the other play video games. Why did we start playing them and so on. I will start by saying that in my household, gaming was just something you did if you were a kid. My parents would always say, "he'll grow out of it" and that kinda bothered me a bit. But anyway, it was around that time that I started playing RPGs due to Nintendo Power showing games like Final Fantasy V Advance and most notably... Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Trigger was a game that I can't really explain in a couple of paragraphs or so but I will try. When I finally played Chrono Trigger, I was simply blown away. I had never been exposed to such a story before and alot of the game stuck with me. One of the things that I will say made me a better person would be Frog's scenario. You know, he was a human that got turned into a frog but in the beginning of the game, you wouldn't know that. But as you went on, the story shows us what happened to him and made us not criticise him as much. I was around 10 years old when I was playing this but this stuck to me because it encourages you to invest in things that aren't normal and try to understand those things, even if they are foreign.

I don't know, I just have this weird feeling every time I play it. Like I'm reading a novel rather than playing a game. It has taught me so much. So what are some games that have inspired you, and how have they done so? You can leave more than one or whatever. If we lose record of what makes us gamers in the first place, the memories had will be worthless. Share your inspirations.
