Well, the 3DS and Vita combined won't touch GBA sales. So it's definitely a smaller market, as there is the N-Gage, Wonderswan and Neo Geo Pocket to add to the GBA sales for that generation.

The 8-Bit Gameboy models sold over 115m units, the GameGear sold over 10m units. So although yes, last gen was the biggest handheld gen ever, This is looking like the worst one since handheld became a thing.
