I can only speak for myself, but, to me, it looks like so many other action games out there...

Also, I prefer sci-fi over historical Japan.

Finally, and this is a general consideration, the mediocre reviews and sell out aren't probably helping the curious but sitll undecided buyers...

We've had so many surprise localizations over the past few years that I'm still really hoping this has a chance.

Ever since Anime Expo in 2013 when we had DanganRonpa and Sorcery Saga announced, it's just been a stream of stuff I never in a million years thought would come west (Conception 2; Demon Gaze; Mind=0; Criminal Girls; Dungeon Travelers; Code Realize).  Every single one of those is a game I'd have bet against making it across yet somehow they're here or on the way.

And Lost Dimension shows that domestic sales really doesn't have much influence in whether a game gets picked up or not.  I'd have thought Ukiyo's presentation as a pseudo-successor to Way of the Samurai would've been enough to at least get someone to have a stab at it (although XSEED did the last game and they have their plate full at the min).

I'd have thought it'd have a wider-reaching appeal then some of the stuff we've been getting, too (at the very least, the otome games and the first person DPRG's).

Oh well.  I can only hope.
