most nintendo games are average games.

battlefield is a boring game/franchise

Bayonetta is only slightly popular because of its over sexualized style

batman Arkham Asylum is a shitty game, with shitty boring repetitive gameplay, a shitty story with serious plot holes, and shitty cut scenes and dialog, and its only popular because heath ledger died before Batman the dark knight released and his death sky rocketed "batmans" popularity.

Fifa by all means is a stupid game with some serious issues, and the only reason its popular is because PES is still a bigger fucking mess.

ICO is boring.

Pokemon is by far and wide, the most milked franchise ever, its the same thing done over and over again with different "pokemon". its an abomination to innovation and creativity and a disgrace to the entire gaming industry. its a obvious cash grab with its two versions released simultaneously and the only reason it doesnt get any flack because its nintendo exclusive. if it were by EA or Activision it would get the most hate ever. i do not understand why its still around, its a game for kids that most kids dont seem interested in.

The AI in mario games are AI stuck in the 5th gen. yet nobody seems to complain.

Shigeru Miyamoto is apparently done for as a quality dev. his two latest games show that. Project gaint robot looks hilariously bad and project gaurd looks like a shitty mobile game.

out of the "big three" sony is the only one pushing gaming and the industry forward. MS wanted to screw gamers over with DRM and milk them all they can, and trust me on this, once they get the chance to pull something like that DRM thing again, they will. and Nintendo is stuck in the past. the only one who has a clear and strong vision for the future of gaming is Sony.

the majority of games from the 6th gen and before are unplayable. outdated gameplay makes playing them a chore.

reviewers and reviews are obsolete. they are in it for the money and money alone, and for that reason their opinion is worthless.

if microsoft was really interested in gaming and pushing gaming forward they would have pushed the PC gaming scene forward and been what valve are to PC gaming now. instead their intentions lay else where and the XB1 is a clear indicator of that.

gameplay isnt the most important thing in a game

iawata needs to go, he is so out of touch its mind boggling. the result is that nintendo as a company is now so out of touch its mind boggling

nintendo is mostly becoming an anti consumer company, a lot of its policies are anti consumer and just want to milk more cash out of its fanbase.

Nintendo E3's are bad, all they show are first party games, just because 3rd party games are multiplatform on other consoles does not make up for Nintendo having none of them.

i like jack tretton because of his arrogant style and comments.

Assassins Creed now days is a mockery of a game (okay... this one isnt really controversial)

its amazing how Destiny got flacked really hard for "little content" when titanfall got a free pass despite having A LOT less content then Destiny.

infamous 1 is painfully bad

graphics do matter in video games

the hype behind rare is either full of hope or delusion. they havent made a decent game or a proper one in over 7 years. even their games before that and after the MS acquisition were okay to good at best. the hype behind that dev is hilarious.

I agree with these, especially the Infamous 1 part. I have a hard time finding what makes it better than Second Son to some people. Its a pain in the ass to play.

As for the gameplay part, I feel it depends on game to game whether or not gameplay is the most important in a game. A game may capture you with its atmosphere alone.
