Let's say that nintendo gives you the game that makes your jaw drop, the most amount of games that you wanted to see announced, they are the ones who made you feel like a kid on Christmas morning... They can't do any of that for me. At least not with their first party. We all will be inclined to say the one who won is the one that showed us the things we like (I have a feeling for me it might be Square Enix this year, or Sony as usual if they have enough japanese third parties on stage) Those 3 items you listed will always be subjective, there is no objective way to judge the show unless you evaluate from a technical, performance point of view (who had the better stage, lighting, less technical problems) and then you cant even evaluate the entertaining aspect cause it's still subjective to fanbase appeal. It would be like evaluating someone's game library based on your own tastes... doenst work that way. |
Umm.. I don't know. I guess I can only speak for myself here, but I find it entirely possible to say somebody won E3 even if it's not my favorite company. If Sony comes out and delivers compelling software that looks amazing, then I'll be the first to say they knocked it out of the park and won. If Nintendo is the only one that has games that I'm going to buy, that doesn't mean they automatically win. Like Nebel said earlier, most people said Nintendo won last year.. do most people like Nintendo the best ? No.. So it seems to me that people are actually able to determine these things with something besides "I like this company the best, so they win! Derp."
It's really not that hard
