CosmicSex said: I think the most important reason mentioned is the economic one. You know, a lot of us here work. And we do it to support ourselves. I think it is unreasonable to expect publishers and developers to create content for the Wii U as an act of charity. People need to support themselves and game development isn't free. On one hand you can blame Nintendo for making a weak system... but the truth is, People will continue to make content as long as there is an audience for it (See FIFA 2012 for PS2). So, I believe that the biggest issue is the lack of interest in content that may look inferior when compared to another console... something that most certainly brings us back to Nintendo...oh dear. |
Hell, why stop at FIFA 12? (Yes, a console released in 2000 has a more recent iteration of FIFA than Wii U. Even though FIFA 14 also came out on Wii.)
I think pretty much every anti developer argument on here has now been overturned. "those poor kickstarters who did it purely for a Wii U ver" it wasn't a Kickstarter, it was always an investment model with the idea that money was returned to backers.
PS3/360 cancellations prior show it wasn't format specific.
Chucking in the low userbase is just the final nail in the effort at the moment to make a Nintendo port. The best outcome really, would be that Nintendo announce their next handheld, and it's capable of running the main game. Man I would buy a Nintendo handheld with a game like this in an instant. I was hoping Vita would give me one, but it's looking pretty obvious Gran Turismo won't be hitting Vita now :(
