I'm not one of those guys saying VR requires 2x power, I know its 960x1080p per eye, but last time I checked, the Morpheus headset is 3D and most VR games are 3D aren't they? After all, you could play VR on a PS3 game with the Sony 3D head display and move controllers.

No its not stereoscpic 3D.

"arnt they" = answear = NO.  (im not sure I can be more clear about it than this)

So the logic for thinking that the resolution will drop, for playing VR games is just wrong.

Its no more demanding than games currently are.

While that is true it doesn't work for an actually good VR experience. 60 fps are the bare minimum for VR. Some may even say 60fps already destroys "presence" and that it needs at least 75fps. So a good VR experience actually needs big performance reserves for very high fps and locking them. Because frame drops are an absolute NO GO in VR.

It's hard to name any game on PS4 that does not suffer from drops, even if it runs 60fps most of the time.

Morpheus is a good step forward in popularizing VR but I just hope it will not destroy a lot of first impressions by being a sub par experience.
