7th gen, either PS3/360.
Not only for the modern games, but XBLA gave me many classics from my childhood that bridged generations (Doom 1/2, Duke Nukem, Gunstar heroes, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie 1/2), etc. No console has ever given me so much classics alongside modern hits.
And those who say PS2, plenty of its greatest hits were ported over to PS3/360 as well. The 7th gen really had all gens rolled into one like no other before it.

You should treat each gen for what it was. Based on that logic, 7th gen won't be that special if we consider that every major game are being remastered for current gen. Halo master chief collection, gear of war, god of war, possible uncharted collection, TLOU, you get my point.

I am treating the gens for what they were. By my logic, sure the 8th gen could have more classics and remasters, but tis ongoing and thus doesn't apply here.
The 7th gen gave me the most modern games at the time coupled with the most classics from all gens previous. Best variety of any generation that came before it, because it is the first generation that went digital.

I tought you meant only port, didnt get the all gen rolled into one part. My bad.
