Mario Kart 8 should show by how many items you got hitten

Anyway, there are several problems with this idea. One, if those numbers don't help determine who came in which place, there is no point in showing them, as it would only cause animosity. Two, how many times you were hit doesn't mean much, the game is chaotic, and getting hit often helps you,, like getting you better powerups as you fall back. Three, you can avoid getting hit, partly by luck, but more so by playing intelligently, so a high number wouldn't show you got a raw deal and someone who barely got hit and came first had all the luck. The game is well balanced and more skill based than it seems at first and you should just trust that, and try to improve your gameplay.

Mostly you cant prevent to get hit. Like getting a coin as item + redshell, sb fire 3 red shells on you, bullet bill/star hits you, boomerang, piranha plant. You may have like ~30% influence but thats it. its mainly luck based. Even green shells getting from wall to wall...you cant do anythign against this.
