VRs best games imo will probably be experiences not like usual videogames. But more like walking around in fantasy or real life scenarios and discovering things. Its so interesting just to walk around in VR and see the world. Discovering something following a great story is awesome, atmosphere is going to be super important. Detective games or just storys ala telltales walking dead however with actualy being there. Heavy rain stile games without clunky controls but you being able to manipulate everything directly like in real life.
VR opens up games it will be fun to do things that were boring until now. .I can imagine it would be freaking awesome to be an undercover spy in the third reich. Seeing Hitlers parades. Or going to the moon. Being just in rome and witnessing the life there. Being on planets with new civilications. VR should be approached like the matrix not like a videogame thing. Like a Holodeck. Ofcourse now it still relies on videogame crutches however in ´20 years it will be an entirely different kind of experience. Playing videogames will happen aswell on virtual tvs and virtual consoles on the surface of mars with the sun exploding in the back ground. Playing Mario while the mars atmosphere evaporates from the sun going supernova. Rocks flying around.
I think virtual spaces will exist persistent universes that costs 500 million dollar to develop with millions of working hours going in to create unbelievably deep worlds and people will pay fees every month to be there.
