As you say, VR will work great with games that can use peripherals to enhance the experience, like steering wheels and pedals for racing games or all the flying joysticks with simulators like X-Plane or sim/arcade like the IL-2 series.
Also, given that these gamers are already used to buy more gear to play their games the way they like it, they are also the best candidates to be early adopters of VR headsets if the experience is worth it.
