if the wii has 50 games that are great, i dont care if all 50 are made by nintendo, or if 35 were made by nintendo, and 15 were made by 3rd parties, or if 15 were made by nintendo, and 35 were made by third parties. good games are good games. judge the system based on how many quality titles are on it. and ill tell you right now, it has a ton. |
I judged Wii based on how much third party it has because in my case, I'm a multiplatform gamer. I ended up last gen with 75%-80% on multiplatform games. Heck my reason to buy a console is for multiplatform games so any console that have third parties support are going to be a better console in my view. Now if you combine a good third party support with good first party games, you have the recipe for one of the best library, in other words, there is a high chance you will find something new to play because if the first party offering failed, just moved your view to a third party game and vice versa. When you don't have good third party support, you are limited to first party, add to that that if you don't like every first party offered, there is a chance you will find yourself replaying older games because you don't have something to play yet based on your preferences.
This is obviously my personal feeling and my personal experience only and how I felt during the 7th gen era.
