Technically, The Bible only concerns Christianity, all branches subscribe to it, which more or less defines a belief system under the category of Christianity that being said, practically every religion has multiple sects, that believe in different aspects and interpretations, and even these vary among indviduals. All of which is made clear in the OP, which I doubt you read very well, only because of your perplexing reaction. FYI, I am non-denomonational which is a sect of Christianity. On those grounds, it doesn't make sense. That being said, every religion has core tennets that distinguishes that Religion from another. Saying Christianity preaches hate, is the same thing as saying Islam says that Jesus, and not Mohammed, is the Messiah. It is simply wrong. As for the video, I don't see how it is a rule violation. |
First of all the Old Testimate is jewish and the new testimate is Christianity. Also the bible is full of contradictions, violence, sexism and racism. I read the whole book and was easily not a Christian by the time I stopped. Not only that but everysingle Holiday is stolen from paganism, Even down to Jesus story of being born of a virgin, dieing and resurrecting.
Here you can easily find all the contradictions etc... http://bibviz.com/ It's been cataloged, Essentially in this one post I have provided you with enough information I think that proves it as just a story, However that's just my Opinion.
Christanity is one of the most violent religions in history, they have killed millions and oppressed people for ages, They still are with the GOP forcing laws unto the gays and woman...
"Both Mithras and Christ were described variously as 'the Way,' 'the Truth,' 'the Light,' 'the Life,' 'the Word,' 'the Son of God,' 'the Good Shepherd.' The Christian litany to Jesus could easily be an allegorical litany to the sun-god. Mithras is often represented as carrying a lamb on his shoulders, just as Jesus is. Midnight services were found in both religions. The virgin mother...was easily merged with the virgin mother Mary. Petra, the sacred rock of Mithraism, became Peter, the foundation of the Christian Church."

"Mithra or Mitra is...worshipped as Itu (Mitra-Mitu-Itu) in every house of the Hindus in India. Itu (derivative of Mitu or Mitra) is considered as the Vegetation-deity. This Mithra or Mitra (Sun-God) is believed to be a Mediator between God and man, between the Sky and the Earth. It is said that Mithra or [the] Sun took birth in the Cave on December 25th. It is also the belief of the Christian world that Mithra or the Sun-God was born of [a] Virgin. He travelled far and wide. He has twelve satellites, which are taken as the Sun's disciples.... [The Sun's] great festivals are observed in the Winter Solstice and the Vernal Equinox—Christmas and Easter. His symbol is the Lamb...."
