What's ludicrous is you thinking it took MS 8 years to develop the X1 and that somehow means their next console will take just as longer or longer. |
Well I based this off of the release of the XB360 (2005) and the release of the XB1 (2013). Could you kindly share the exact year at which Microsoft started developing the XB1? No? Didn't think so. So please forgive me for not knowing exactly just how long it took them to develop the XB1 when you yourself don't know. I was using the XB360 timeframe to gauge just how long it would take for them to release their new console.
My point still stands that they were riding the success of the XB360 and didn't start thinking about creating their next console until well into the XB360's console lifecycle. The current success of the XB1 is doing better than the XB360 as is the PS4 over the PS3. Since PS4 and XB1 are both doing better than their predecessors, why would anyone think that a new generation would come any sooner? Just because Nintendo is currently unsuccessful doesn't mean everybody else has to follow suit.
