Well personally I will probably look back on it as "Oh right. That was this uncomfortably large Controller, that tried to be like a tablet but totally failed." That is in line with my look on the N64 Controller (liked it at first and then tested DS at a friends house) and the GC controller, which is imo a significant step up from the N64 Controller(!) but the button layout was terrible and the c-stick was nothing short of embarrassing (hello? dual sticks?).
However a vocal minority will sing its´praises from dusk till dawn....
EDIT: I friggin loved my DC and the Controller/VMCU. Right now I say 70% of my love is based n nostalgia and wrong memories.
