My problem is the rumor about the prices of those cards. If they are true (and I have doubts about it) and the 390X haa a $849 price tag, Nvidia will have little incentive to lower their prices. But if it is $599-649, now that's another thing...

I find $849 hard to believe, AMD is usually pretty agressive with their pricing. The first rumor I heard for the 390x said it would be about $600.

But that's the thing with rumors .

Those same rumors said that the 390X would have 4GB, then that changed to 8GB and now it has come back to 4GB. And the same has been true about its launch date, I've forgotten how many times AMD was supposed to reveal the card... according to rumors, ofc.

At the end of the day, we can't speculate of what will happen, neither with the AMD's 3xx series nor with Nvidia's pricing.
