From what I've heard AMD has the 3 new HBM cards coming at the high end of the spectrum, and below that most of the cards will be 200 series rebrands with a price drop for each, except for the 380x, which might be a fully unlocked Tonga with a 384 bit memory interface (compared to 256 for the 285/380) and 2048 GCN cores (compared to 1792 for the 285/380). |
Yep, I've also heard those rumors (by the way, DICE has posted a pic of one of the cards on twitter, I've put it in the thread we have about it: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=202451).
My problem is the rumor about the prices of those cards. If they are true (and I have doubts about it) and the 390X haa a $849 price tag, Nvidia will have little incentive to lower their prices. But if it is $599-649, now that's another thing...
Please excuse my bad English.
