I believe it's early pull will come from space simulations/racing simulations (those work really well in VR) and Miniecraft-esque builder games. Ofcourse horror will also play a role, but I think that's a bit less mainstream - I usually have no problem playing those, but in VR it might have a bit too much of an impact to be played regularly by more than a niche.
Once it's an established form of entertainment new genres will rise and open world games/rpgs could also be big in VR, but they are harder to pull off and generally have longer dev times.
