I actually feel the same way and have been feeling the same way for the past 15 years ever since I had Pokemon Silver. I remember buying the Gameboy peripheral for the Gamecube and playing my handheld games on the TV for the first time - it was bliss. I just prefer playing games on a TV. I have bought handhelds for 15 years, but never because I enjoy playing on handhelds, strangely enough. It's because I enjoy the games being released on said handhelds. If Nintendo released a Nintendo TV that I can play GBA/DS/3DS games on with a special controller, I'd love it.
I'm the same with movies. I just can't watch a movie on a tablet or a phone; I have to watch a movie on a TV or in the theater to get the experience.
