Again, you are wrong. Utada Hikaru achieved that accolade in 2002, WITHOUT the addition of digital sales (which didnt exist then), AND only from sales in Japan, not even worldwide. Her first week sales of the following three albums in a row: First Love (1999) 2,026,870 So yes.

Wake up and read... Sales back then were higher back then due to lack of online piracy.,.. Plus, that girl isn't even relevant outside Japan. Taylor is the only artist in the history of the united states to ever accomplish the feature. Are you living under a rock or are you just ignorant and rely on google relating to an artist that is only famous in 1 country? Taylor is a worldside star... You cannot compare sales in the 90s and early 2000s to now.. For every album sold today 5 were sold back then. If this was 2000 Taylor would have sold 3 million her first week with every album.
Reputation proceeds me, they told you I'm crazy, I swear I don't love the drama it loves me <3
BUY TAYLOR'S NEW ALBUM REPUTATION!!
