Don't expect Skyrim in 3rd person, TES games have very simplistic melee combat. Indeed, maybe it's best for you, and all others who might have no previous experience with this sort of games, to think of it as new type, although it's really not new and it's, as I said few times already, heavily infuenced by Gothic franchise which exists since 2001.
